History

Church Triumphant began in 1990 when Pastors Ty and Connie Loyd came to Las Cruces with a vision of forming a new church. Together with a small group of people, the vision became a reality. At the initial home meetings, the date of April 15, 1990, Easter Sunday, was set for the first public service of the church in a local hotel. The room was almost full with 100 people, and every Sunday since, it has been growing.

Shortly after the first meeting we began renting a building on Hwy 70. However, it was soon apparent (only about two years later), that the current building was not large enough. Church Triumphant started holding two services on Sunday morning; one at 8:45 a.m. and one at 10:30 a.m.

The following year Church Triumphant bought a parcel of land diagonally across the street from one of the biggest mission fields in Las Cruces, Mayfield High School. After raising funds in monthly building fund offerings for almost six years, Church Triumphant was able to build a beautiful new building. Also, we were able to cut our services back and now we enjoy Sunday School at 9 a.m. and one worship service at 10:15 a.m. The first week the new building (located at 2020 N. Valley Dr.) was open we had a huge celebration.

From the beginning, it has been amazing to see all that God has done through the heart and hands of willing people. All of the ministries that presently function at Church Triumphant have come about as a result of our vision to fulfill the great commission of Christ touching and changing lives as we grow in our knowledge and commitment to Him.

Over the years the church has grown from 50 to 500, and we continue to experience the wonderful presence of God. With the completion of our new facility, we are looking forward to more growth not only in numbers but also in spiritual maturity as a congregation.

Since coming to rest here at 2020 N. Valley Dr, we have had The Power Team, Brother Kenneth Hagin, Peter Youngren, Tommi Femrite, Jesse Duplantis, Morris Cerillo, Charles Neiman, and many more prominent speakers in our church. We are blessed to say that God is moving mightily on a weekly basis here at Church Triumphant. We are celebrating a constant state of revival, HALLELUJAH!
